Job Description:

 

1.     Design and manage M&E systems and tools to monitor performance. This includes development of log frames, PMP, and data collection tools, as well as processes for data analysis;

2.     Lead qualitative data collection initiatives such as individual interviews and focus group discussions with pertinent program and M&E staff;

3.     Analyze and communicate data to program managers, the M&E team, and other relevant staff for reporting and serve any other data needs as may be required;

4.     Work with project staff including implementing partner staff to maintain quality assurances of data collected; ensure that data is collected and entered into databases monthly;

5.     Provide feedback to the CYPD Coordinator in evaluating project teams' M&E skills/assist in staff capacity assessment to track M&E capacity building needs;

6.     Conduct relevant project and partner staff trainings in M&E, especially in the areas of basic concepts of M&E, qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, analysis and use of M&E data;

7.     Regularly visit all field sites to ensure that M&E is being implemented effectively by staff and produce related monitoring reports;

8.     Support staff in data analysis, documenting, reflecting, and utilizing data to inform programmatic decisions;

9.     Coordinate and support cross-program M&E activities with other programs;

10.     Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

Candidate Profile

 

1.     Degree in field related to Development, Information Management, Management, or Social Sciences;

2.     At least 4 years equivalent level technical experience in the following:

3.     Supporting M&E systems through data entry, data analysis and report generation; Logical framework approach; Best practice in M&E methods, tools, and approaches (including qualitative and participatory);

4.     Training in M&E development and implementation; Information analysis and report writing.

 

SKILLS

1.     Writing, communication, and organizational skills;

2.     Good judgement; Knowledge of business skills and other related topics

3.     Experience working with national/international Best practice in monitoring and evaluation;

4.     Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team environment;

5.     Ability to identify and solve basic issues and problems;

6.     Negotiation skills; Dealing with NGOs on education/livelihood projects.

7.     Leadership skills; Willingness to strengthen capacity of local partners and staff;
